NO.1A refreshingly different and enriching read
I love reading but I’m unable to read books as much as I wanted to due to lack of time. I tried to read at least the Kindle First books every month. This month I was not sure which one to choose. Ultimately I settled for The Eagle Tree by Ned Hayes, drawn to it more by the title than anything else.

While the novel is not the typical read that you usually come across, to my utter delight I find it refreshingly different and enriching. I don’t know how you’ll judge this book, but as for me the journey into the mind of this intelligent and thoughtful boy was a wonderful experience.
1、一次煥然一新的，令人充實的閱讀。

NO.2Hero With a Necessary Obsession
I've read and enjoyed all of Hayes' books, but this one struck a particular chord with me. Its narrator, March, offers a first-person inside into the world of a boy with autism and an inordinate fondness for trees. For a hundred pages, I thought, "Okay, I get it. You like trees. Enough with the trees already." Then it hit me: that obsessive focus is exactly what makes March so compelling.
He and his loved ones are dealing with his obsessiveness as well. A hundred pages after that, I knew exactly why March cared so much--and why I should, as well. This is a memorable and moving YA novel that will appeal to adult fans of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Highly recommended!

I am 77 years old and have been an avid reader since the age of 6. I average a book per week. With all the novels I have read, I just want to HIGHLY recommend this book. What a different and wonderful story, narrated by an autistic child. I couldn't put it down. Thank you, Amazon Prime for offering this book as a monthly option. Enough people gave a synopsis of this book so I will refrain. Just want to get my voice heard among the others who love this book. Thank you Ned Hayes for this gift.

I am a biology teacher and I really like trees, so this book piqued my interest.I appreciated the insight of Peter March Wong, a 14-year old boy who is on the spectrum and who is a self-made tree expert. Seeing the world through Peter's eyes allowed the reader to experience the world in a different way. The book incorporates a lot of scientific information about trees into the storyline: photosynthesis, carbon fixation, transpiration, carbon "sinks", and the nitrogen cycle, as well as ecological issues such as global warming.
But do not let this technical information scare you: he author described processes like photosynthesis in breathtaking beauty, and all of this enabled me to have a true insight into Peter, his great affinity for trees, and the inter connectedness of Earth. A possible modern fiction partner to Rachel Carson's "Silent Spring".

NO.5Beautiful and well worth reading
I really did not know if I would like this book but I chose it over the others offered and I'm very glad I did chose it. I wish I had read it 6 years ago. I was a nurse at a school for autistic children whose disabilities ran the gamut of the spectrum. I studied a lot of material to try to better understand the disorder so I could better relate to the students.
I think I learned more from this book than all of my medical texts combined. I also learned more about trees and ecosystems than I had ever thought I would know. This book is beautifully written, the story is compelling, and the hero is unforgettable.
